Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War (1861-1867).

Celebrate Mexican culture and heritage by donning green, white and red and sipping on a margarita here in 2nd Street. Every year we have a big party thrown by the lovelies at La Condesa. The 4th Annual Cinco de Mayo Downtown Block Party kicks off this year on Saturday, May 5th from 4-10pm on 2nd Street between Guadalupe and San Antonio. Parking available in all downtown garages.
